BHMS: An IB MYP for All School
At BHMS, we are committed to providing an enriching IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) experience for every student. Our teachers use the MYP framework to integrate Georgia Standards of Excellence across eight subjects, fostering inquiry-based learning. Students develop critical thinking, real-world connections, and international-mindedness through engaging inquiry statements and diverse questioning strategies. The Inquiry approach to learning is used in all IB programmes and is integrated into the MYP Curriculum at MMS.
Student Evaluation:
Students are evaluated through a combination of:
- Georgia Standards-Based Assessments:
Regular assessments and tasks aligned with Georgia Standards, culminating in an end-of-year score.
- MYP Criterion-Based Assessments:
Subject-specific criteria are used to assess student growth beyond grade-level standards, with formal evaluations occurring at least twice annually.
